“I believe in a sound mind, in a sound body and a spirit that is not afraid…”   ~ George Petrie, the Auburn Creed

If you are an Auburn employee, then you can access multiple resources to help sustain the mental health wellness of you and your family. Information on many of these tools is available at aub.ie/thrive.

One of our most utilized resources is our Employee Assistance Program (EAP), which is administered through Uprise Health (formerly American Behavioral). An EAP is a confidential assessment, counseling and referral service. Full-time, benefit-eligible employees and their eligible dependents can each receive up to six counseling sessions per year at no cost to the employee.

Our EAP is designed to support those who need help with:

  • Marital and family issues
  • Stress-related issues
  • Financial/legal referrals
  • Emotional issuesUprise Health Logo
  • Alcohol and other drug dependency
  • Other issues

If necessary, the counselor can also make appropriate referrals to other professionals who specialize in particular areas.

At Auburn, our EAP is available around the clock. It is also:

  • Confidential: All information is kept strictly between the individual and the counselor.
  • Informal: A simple phone call starts the process.

What to Expect If You Contact Uprise

  • You will speak directly with an Uprise Health representative.
  • You will be asked about your needs to be matched with a counselor.
  • You can schedule your own appointment, or Uprise can help schedule an appointment.
  • If you are in crisis, you will be connected to immediate help.
