If you’re an Auburn employee who enjoys walking or spending time with your co-workers, then mark your calendars for April 26. That’s when Walk @ Lunch will occur across campus.

Walk @ Lunch is one of several events planned for Employee Appreciation Week (April 24-28). Dozens of employees are expected to participate in one of the walks across campus.

Beginning at 11:45 a.m., on-campus walks will begin at the following locations:

  • The Harrison College of Pharmacy (HCOP)
  • Facilities Management – Building 1
  • The College of Veterinary Medicine
  • The East Glenn Administrative Complex

Each walk will take approximately 30 minutes. If you work off campus or in another county, that’s OK. ACES offices and other off-campus units are encouraged to host their own events!

Walk @ Lunch events are held annually across America. It’s a good reminder that a brisk, 30-minute walk can help people:

  • Decrease the risk of heart attack and type 2 diabetes.
  • Maintain a healthy weight.
  • Improve muscle tone.
  • Reduce stress.

The events are sponsored by HCOP and University Human Resources. Additional information about Walk @ Lunch and Employee Appreciation Week will be made available online

If you would like to share photos from your respective event, just email univhr@auburn.edu or post them to social media (#auappreciate).
