On Wednesday, August 27, 2025, the Auburn University Office of Sustainability and co-sponsors Tiger Dining, the Davis Arboretum, the Waste Reduction and Recycling Department, Academic Sustainability Programs, the College of Forestry, Wildlife and Environment, and the Master of Community Planning, hosted Auburn’s annual Sustainability Picnic. With over 400 attendees, this year’s picnic was undoubtedly a success!
This lively event, held amongst lush greenery at the Davis Arboretum, aims to introduce Auburn students to the many sustainability-related clubs, organizations, programs, and offices on and off campus. To learn more about the organizations in attendance, visit the Sustainability Picnic Directory.
This year, Anna Colson, a senior at Auburn University studying Commercial Music, performed as the picnic’s musical guest.
This zero-waste picnic embodied the spirit of sustainability by serving vegetarian food with reusable plates, cups, and utensils. Guests enjoyed dishes from Tiger Catering, such as a fresh, summery watermelon salad on paper-lined frisbees!
