Almost all of the information we have about the Universe outside of our solar systems comes from the light (electromagnetic radiation) we observe from astrophysical objects. This is also true when it comes to the search for extra-terrestrial life. At the February Science Pub we’ll look at a number of “alien”-related mysteries—from the strange 1977 “Wow!” signal to the recent supposed “alien megastructure” around Tabby’s star. Join Dr. Stuart Loch to unravel these puzzles using physics and learn how physicists can probe the atmospheres of far-off planets for clues of alien life!
