University Writing and the Academic Sustainability Program seek submissions for the Outstanding Sustainability Essay Award. This award recognizes exceptional student writing in prose with a focus on sustainability.

The essay prompts reflect themes in Auburn’s Common Book for 2024, The Music of Bees by Eileen Garvin. As you reflect, use the Sustainability Compass to orient your writing toward the interrelations of nature, society, economy, and wellbeing.
