David Robb will be giving a talk on our state's rich history distinctive shape. The state's geographic features such as rivers among other things, have played a role in past Native American traditions, colonial aspirations, land speculations, territorial squabbles, national politics, and international confrontations. This presentation will show how Alabama’s northern and southern borders originate during the colonial era, and how our eastern and western boundaries reflect Indian treaties and early Federal issues. This event is free, open to the public, and will be followed by refreshments.
