Science Cafe

March 27, 2018 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Do you have pets or children? Do you work or play outdoors? If yes\, you better check yourself before you wreck yourself! With reported cases of tick-borne diseases on the rise— up 600% since 2010 —now is the time to know how to combat these creepy crawlers! Join us as the Spring begins to bloom to learn about ticks and where to find them\, the illnesses they carry\, why you should care\, and what you can do to prevent getting Lyme disease and other tick-borne illnesses. Come see live ticks and win free giveaways!
This month’s Science Cafe will be presented by Emily Merritt from the School of Forestry and Wildlife Sciences.

At the AU Science Cafe and Science Pub\, you’ll have the opportunity to sit down and talk about new and exciting science and technology with scientists in our community\, all the while relaxing in a great local food and drink venue.

The event is FREE and open to all of the public. No science background is required\, and no question is too silly to ask!

For any other questions\, or if you are interested in being a Science Cafe speaker\, please contact Josh King at <a href=\'mailto:josh.king@auburn.edu\'>josh.king@auburn.edu or 334-734-1182.
