Event title: Law and the American Revolution
April 13 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Free

Over a span of 150 years, people in British America developed a conception of legal rights, personal liberties, and citizen participation that was very different from that held by George III, members of Parliament, and others who lived an ocean away. That colonial conception would not only spark the Revolutionary War but would go on to inform the subsequent drafting of the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights and continues to influence each of us today.
Speaker: Steve Brown, Professor of Political Science, Auburn University
