Auburn University’s chapter of Women in Aviation is hosting its third annual Girls in Aviation Day this October. This free-to-the-public event will take place at Auburn University Regional Airport from 9 a.m. to 2 pm. on Saturday\, Oct. 6.
Girls in Aviation Day 2018 is sponsored in part by Chicken Salad Chick and Auburn-Opelika Tourism\, and focuses on exhibiting careers in the aviation industry. Girls in Aviation Day focuses on girls in grades K-12\, but will include activities for all ages and genders. Several aviation companies and regional airlines\, as well as local pilots and their personal aircraft\, will be in attendance and on display.
Women in Aviation International is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing networking\, education\, mentoring and scholarship opportunities for women (and men) who are striving for a challenging and fulfilling careers in the aviation and aerospace industries.
