Dr. Atkins is a renowned historian and an authority on Auburn history.  As an Auburn co-ed\, she won both the U.S. Nationals and the World Championship in water skiing.
This event is a part of the Discover Auburn lecture series\, co-sponsored by the Auburn University Libraries\, the Caroline Marshall Draughon Center for the Arts and Humanities and the Auburn University Bookstore\, which will feature women speakers as part of the celebration of 125 years of women at Auburn University.
