“Unsettling Southern Histories” with Angela Pulley Hudson

Southern history is far more complex and contradictory than is often acknowledged. This will focus on experiences of Indigenous southerners the implications that undermining Native American history has on our collective past, present and future.Angela Pulley Hudson is an Auburn alumna class of ‘96 and professor of History at Texas A&M University. Her most recent book is 'Real Native Genius: How an Ex-slave and a White Mormon Became Famous Indians.'
This event is free, open to the public, and will be followed by refreshments.
