The City of Opelika is hosting a recycle and shredding day open to residents and businesses in Opelika and Auburn. All shredding is done on site and there is a 10-box limit. Other items accepted for recycling include: electronics\, aluminum cans\, appliances\, cardboard\, glass (brown\, clear & green)\, newspaper\, plastic\, scrap iron\, steel cans\, tires\, cooking oil and yard debris.
