Members of the East Alabama Korean community are invited to attend a free holiday-themed event, which will include a tour of the historic Scott-Yarbrough House from 1847, apple cider, classic holiday treats, and a discussion of Truman Capote's famous short story '<a href='https://faculty.weber.edu/jyoung/English%206710/A%20Christmas%20Memory.pdf'>A Christmas Memory</a>' (a Korean translation can be found <a href='https://cla.auburn.edu/cah/assets/File/A%20Christmas%20Memory%20(Translated).pdf'>here</a>). Children are invited to write and bring a 200-300 word story of their favorite Christmas memory to present to the group, and judges will award prizes to each child who shares a story.
The free event is sponsored by the Caroline Marshall Draughon Center for the Arts and Humanities in the College of Liberal Arts at Auburn University and The Korea Corner in the Office of the Vice President for University Outreach.
