A collection from the Oscillation Transia Film Festival with the theme of human connection to the natural world and amplifying the voices of Black\, Indigenous\, and other People of Color will be shown. Oscillation Transia is a non-profit organization that explores environmental awareness through the art of film and seeks to feature diverse voices. \nFree popcorn and hot chocolate and tea will be served. Bring your own mug and water bottle\, chair/blanket\, and dress for the weather to get cozy and watch films that amplify diverse voices and feature beautiful stories.  \nThe event will be held outside in the Pebble Hill courtyard. In the case of rain or high winds\, we would move indoors.

It tells the stories of the Loveliest Village of the Plain and its people\, street by street\, over nearly two centuries. \nSam Hendrix\, native of Arab\, Alabama\, earned a BA from the University of North Alabama and the M.Ed. from Auburn University. He spent most of his career with Auburn University as a public relations and development professional. He authored a history of the Auburn Church of Christ and a biography of founding Veterinary Medicine Dean Dr. Charles Allen Cary before publishing ‘Auburn: A History in Street Names.’ He and his wife\, Mary Ellen\, live in Auburn. \nBooks will be available for purchase and signing. DESCRIPTION:Craig Darch is the author of 'L'Chaim and Lamentations'\, a collection of seven richly layered stories that tackle not only the question of what it means to be Jewish but also what it means to be human\, exploring universal themes of companionship and loneliness\, faith and perseverance.\nDarch is the Humana-Sherman-Germany Distinguished Professor of Special Education at Auburn University. He earned his doctorate at the University of Oregon and has taught at Auburn for 37 years. He is the author of 'From Brooklyn to the Olympics: The Hall of Fame Career of Auburn University Track Coach Mel Rosen' and has co-authored three college-level textbooks on learning and intellectual disabilities. \nThe event is free\, open to the public and will be followed by refreshments.
