DESCRIPTION:The Auburn University Water Resources Center is holding a free family-friendly Water Festival at the Davis E. Arboretum with water-related games and activities. Come meet local water conservation organizations like Alabama Water Watch\, Alabama Rivers Alliance\, and Coosa Riverkeeper. East Alabama Fly Fishing will have fly casting demonstrations and practice rods for kids. The Amsterdam food truck will have food and drinks available for purchase. \nThere will also be showings of the film “River Dreams” at 5:15 and again at 6:45. DESCRIPTION:Auburn Parks and Recreation and the Donald E. Davis Arboretum at Auburn University presents the 4th annual Friday Fright Night at the arboretum Friday\, Oct. 23. Gates will open at 6 p.m.\, and a child-friendly Halloween cartoon will be shown at 6:30 p.m. The first featured film\, “Little Shop of Horrors” (1986 version)\, will begin approximately at 7:15 p.m. The second feature film\, “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” (1975)\, will begin at 9 p.m. \nPatrons are encouraged to bring blankets\, chairs\, and a picnic dinner to enjoy the movies. Parking is available near the entrances on three sides of the arboretum: along Lem Morrison and the Poultry Science parking lot\, along Garden Drive and the Arboretum parking lot off Garden Drive. \n

DESCRIPTION:The community is invited to explore the natural world at the second annual Bones and Boos event\, a one-day outdoor exhibit of animal skeletons where guests can enjoy an up-close look at some of nature’s most interesting animals such as rhinoceros legs\, whale ribs\, tiger and bear skeletons\, and more. The event will also feature a silent auction\, live music\, food trucks\, raffle prizes\, and fun children’s programs such as a 'bone dig site'. This family friendly event is $10 per person for ages 12+\, $5 for children ages 6-11\, and free for children 6 and younger.\nProceeds from the silent auction will benefit the Davis Arboretum\, Auburn University Museum of Natural History and the College of Veterinary Medicine’s Department of Anatomy\, Physiology and Pharmacology.

DESCRIPTION:Auburn\'s Green Action Information Network (GAIN) is hosting \'For the Love of Science ~ A Climate Awareness Walk\' this coming Earth Day to celebrate and educate with a walk\\, a picnic\\, and some factually fun talks about \'Science\\, the Climate\\, the Earth and You.\'\nThere will be a walk through down to Toomer\'s Corner and back\\, followed by a community picnic. Guests are encouraged to bring their own food and drink. They may also brings signs made from recycled cardboard. At the picnic there will be talks\\, tables and booths from different local and state environmental groups set up for education and action.
