DESCRIPTION:The event will be a come-and-go opportunity to celebrate members of the LGBTQ+ community and allies. The office of OID will have a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Pride Center at Auburn University at 10 am. They will be offering tours of the Pride Center every half hour. They will have free Kona Ice snow cones on the Campus Green Space for the first 250 people. There will also be a photo op with a Polaroid Camera\, lawn games\, and a frame for students to paint. DESCRIPTION:Walk A Mile in Her Shoes is an annual fundraising event held by the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority to bring awareness to Domestic Violence Prevention but also raise money for Domestic Violence Intervention Center of Opelika. With this event\, guys on Auburn’s campus come together in groups to compete in a relay race\, while wearing high-heels. There will be a series of races and winner at the end. There will also be a guest speaker from the DVIC of Opelika to speak for a brief moment. Each team competing in the relay race will have 1-5 Alpha Chi’s to be their team leader’s. It will be a fun event to promote awareness of Domestic Violence and fellowship among Auburn students!
