SUMMARY:Window to Your World Lunch Seminar
DESCRIPTION:The event is part of the ICC’s Window to Your World lunch seminar series and is free and open to all Auburn University students\, faculty\, and staff as well as the greater Auburn community. \n“This is an opportunity to come together and embrace inclusion and diversity while we celebrate women’s advancement around the world\,” said Adeola Fayemi\, director of intercultural education and inclusion\, at the International Cultural Center. \nThe Window to Your World lunch seminar is a regular ICC program that advances international and cultural learning in an informal gathering while featuring an array of experts and thought leaders that discuss salient interdisciplinary and “just in time” topics. The seminar is titled “Everyone’s Responsibility: Embracing Women’s Equity for a More Inclusive World” and will include a variety of presentations and topics including research work\, study abroad testimonials\, and career development topics for domestic and international students. \nFeatured panelists will include Auburn faculty\, community members\, and a student representative. They will be recognized for their avid interest in raising awareness of the challenges women face and determining ways of achieving gender equality from an international standpoint. \nIWD held on March 8 is a global celebration to honor women’s strengths and achievements. The day is also a call to action for accelerating women’s equality. This year’s IWD theme is #EmbraceEquity\, teaching us that collectively\, we can all forge positive change. \nFor more information on IWD and this year’s campaign\, please visit the website.
