SUMMARY:BraveHeart Center for Place and Purpose Art Exhibit
DESCRIPTION:The BraveHeart Center for Place and Purpose\, or BCPP\, is inviting the campus and community to its fall art exhibition and opening reception on Oct. 18 at 3:30 p.m. in Hargis Hall. BCPP is a community inclusion\, health\, and wellness day center which enhances and elevates the lives of young adults with disabilities facing moderate to severe cognitive and communication difficulties. \nThe photo exhibit is free and open to the public at 106 Hargis Hall from Oct. 18 to Nov. 4\, Monday through Friday. SUMMARY:Photography Exhibit Promoting Disability Awareness
DESCRIPTION:<div class=\'article_fontsize col-xs-12 col-sm-3 pull-right\'>The BraveHeart Center for Place and Purpose\\, or BCPP\\, Program will promote disability awareness and inclusion in our community through a photography exhibit running from April 2-5\\, from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. each day. BCPP is a joint outreach program of the Auburn University Social Work Program in the College of Liberal Arts and First Presbyterian Church of Auburn. The mission of BCPP is to provide a place where individuals with disabilities are offered comprehensive opportunities for continued growth in the areas of health and fitness\\, academia\\, life and job skills\\, community outreach\\, and creative arts exploration. In less than two years\\, BCPP has made an impact across many communities- young adults with disabilities facing moderate to severe life challenges and their families\\, interns\\, practicum students\\, service learning students and volunteers\\, community service organizations – as well as raised awareness\\, provided information\\, and sponsored activities which help represent and develop a more inclusive Auburn. The exhibit is free and open to the public.</div>
