SUMMARY:Inclusive Classes Workshop
DESCRIPTION:The College of Education\\, in partnership with the Biggio Center and Office of University Writing\\, is offering a workshop on inclusive classes through syllabus redesign. The workshop will help instructors update a course syllabus in order to further build inclusion and diversity into the class structure. Attendees should bring a syllabus for a course to update and a laptop or tablet to work on. Instructors\\, including graduate teaching assistants\\, from all colleges and schools on campus are welcome. Lunch is provided. Attendance is limited and registration is required. SUMMARY:Anti-Oppressive Education Dialogue
DESCRIPTION:The Biggio Center will be hosting a set of anti-oppressive education dialogues. The dialogues will continue through the fall. The initiative will explore experiences with culture in the classroom.
Through open dialogue\\, participants will explore effective methods to incorporate cultural diversity and challenge oppression in the context of discipline-specific teaching needs.
