Park or take Tiger Transit to the West Campus Fieldhouse at: 910 W Thach Ave\, Auburn\, AL 36832 \nGain service hours and points for the War Eagle Recycling Competition. Each volunteer earns 2 points for their on-campus hall for the War Eagle Recycling Challenge. There is a maximum of 8 points available per residence hall. You do NOT have to participate in the War Eagle Recycling Challenge in order to volunteer. \nCampus litter cleanup is sponsored by AU Risk Management and Safety and AU Waste Reduction and Recycling. \nVolunteer Information: \n\nWear closed-toe shoes\nBring a reusable water bottle\nAll gloves\, trash bags\, litter pickers\, and other equipment will be provided

DESCRIPTION:The Annual Alabama Water Resources Conference is a forum for all participants of our water resources community\, providing opportunities for conversation about the many multidisciplinary aspects of water resources\, and making connections that will improve how we understand the complex water issues that are of importance to this state\, the region\, and the nation. The Conference Planning Committee encourages you to join in the dialogue. \nTo encourage this exchange\, the conference includes oral and poster sessions\, plenary sessions\, and networking opportunities. In addition to the broad array of topics encourages submission for the annual conference\, they welcome individuals who wish to propose special sessions on themed tracks consisting of a core of invited presentations. If you are interested in organizing a special session\, please contact a member of the organizing committee to discuss details. \nThe final conference program is determined by the content of the submitted and accepted abstracts. A list of potential topics is provided in the call for presentations to encourage conference participants to consider the full extent of multidisciplinary topics and information exchange; it is by no means all-inclusive. Interested persons are encouraged to prepare and submit abstracts of their work which addresses these or other relevant topics. \nOne of the largest conferences exploring Alabama’s water resources\, providing opportunities for conversation about the many multidisciplinary aspects of water resources\, and making connections that will improve how we understand the complex water issues that are of importance to this state\, the region\, and the nation. DESCRIPTION:Join Kreher guides for a peaceful morning walk as you take in the many sights and sounds of the Preserve.  Nature Walks offer excellent opportunities to socialize and learn while enjoying fresh air and exercise in our beautiful outdoors.\nNature Walks are for adults only and are offered on the second Thursday of each month from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. Pre-registration is not required. Each month features a new seasonal theme. Groups meet at the pavilion.\nNature Walks are free – donations are welcomed. This event will be canceled in the event of rain.

DESCRIPTION:Registration Required & Space Limited: To celebrate the community that forms around our Common Book\, the Office of the Provost is hosting Finding Franklin: A Common Book AUmazing Race Event on Sunday\, September 13\, 2026\, from 1 to 3 pm. Like the style of the popular tv show\, The Amazing Race\, this event will have teams of students traverse campus to complete as many Ben Franklin-themed physical and mental challenges as they can before time ends! Prizes include gift cards\, special campus opportunities\, and unique Auburn items! Students may register to participate with up to 4 members per team. \nStudents visit the Provost’s Common Book events page to register to play and for more information. \nThe Common Book Program: As part of its annual Common Book program\, Auburn University has selected Ben & Me: In Search of a Founder’s Formula for a Long and Useful Life as the 2026 Common Book\, anchoring a shared academic experience for incoming students during the university’s commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Auburn’s Common Book Program introduces new students to the university’s academic community through a shared reading that encourages critical thinking\, meaningful dialogue and engagement beyond the classroom. The selection of Ben & Me: In Search of a Founder’s Formula for a Long and Useful Life aligns with the university’s America250 initiatives\, inviting members of the campus and broader communities to reflect on the nation’s founding ideals and their continuing relevance to democratic life and civic responsibility. \nVolunteers Needed: Anyone with an auburn.edu email can sign up to volunteer by visiting the Office of Sustainability blog post:  Volunteers Needed for Finding Franklin: A Common Book AUmazing Race Event.   \nStudents will be able to earn volunteer hours.
