The Conference Planning Committee encourages you to join in the dialogue. \nTo encourage this exchange\, the conference includes oral and poster sessions\, plenary sessions\, and networking opportunities. In addition to the broad array of topics encourages submission for the annual conference\, they welcome individuals who wish to propose special sessions on themed tracks consisting of a core of invited presentations. If you are interested in organizing a special session\, please contact a member of the organizing committee to discuss details. \nThe final conference program is determined by the content of the submitted and accepted abstracts. A list of potential topics is provided in the call for presentations to encourage conference participants to consider the full extent of multidisciplinary topics and information exchange; it is by no means all-inclusive. Interested persons are encouraged to prepare and submit abstracts of their work which addresses these or other relevant topics. \nOne of the largest conferences exploring Alabama’s water resources\, providing opportunities for conversation about the many multidisciplinary aspects of water resources\, and making connections that will improve how we understand the complex water issues that are of importance to this state\, the region\, and the nation. DESCRIPTION:The Waste Reduction and Recycling Department will be at the Tiger Zone dish return station on October 14 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. for the Weigh the Waste event. During the event\, all post-consumer food waste from returned dishes will be collected and weighed. Every 15 minutes\, the amount of food waste generated will be displayed\, along with the cumulative total for the evening. Stop by for dinner and see firsthand how much food is wasted when we take more than we can eat. \nTo encourage waste reduction\, Tiger Dining will hold a drawing for 10 prizes of $25 in dining dollars. Students who return their plates with no food waste between 5:00 and 8:00 p.m. will be entered for a chance to win. \nWeigh the Waste is a hands-on educational event that helps raise awareness about the amount of post-consumer food waste generated in campus dining halls and encourages more mindful food choices.

This is a fun and unique opportunity to support and learn more about Auburn University’s gameday recycling. \nThere are 4 available shifts to sign up for to volunteer: \nMonday\, October 12th\, 2-4 pm \nMonday\, October 26th\, 2-4 pm \nTuesday\, October 27th\, 9-11 am \nWednesday\, October 28th\, 9-11 am \nVolunteer Information: \n\nWear closed-toe shoes and clothing that can get dirty\nBring a reusable water bottle\nGloves and all safety tools will be provided by the Waste Reduction and Recycling Department\n\nThank you for volunteering and helping our recycling efforts!
