SUMMARY:Hoops for Trees
DESCRIPTION:Hoops for Trees is a green initiative aimed at  increase urban forest canopy\, improve water quality and provide numerous other social\, environmental and economic benefits on the areas across Alabama. Through this tree planting program\, the aim is to bring awareness to Urban Forestry and  help establish the next generation of urban foresters\, arborist and horticulturist as they’re taught how to plant trees correctly and have a little  fun as well.  Planting locations has been selected by city  personnel. Trees will  be planted at Sam Harris Park where the trees will help with a buffer zone\, erosion mitigation\, shade\, wildlife habitat and other benefits are needed. The overall goal with this event is to increase visibility of the urban forest scenario and teach students about selecting and planting trees. \nA basketball game of horse will be played and if you stay in\, you keep playing and if you miss and lose out of the game\, then you go plant a tree.

DESCRIPTION:Auburn University’s Campus Safety and Security offers a CPR and Basic First Aid course for employees. This American Heart Association-certified course is designed to prepare faculty to provide first aid\, CPR and use an automated external defibrillator\, or AED\, in a safe\, timely and effective manner.\nThe next CPR/First Aid course will take place on Tuesday\, Sept. 15. It will be both virtual and in-person. Employees need to register via Fast Train. The certification is valid for two years. The cost is $22. Auburn employees using department funding can register and submit payment via Fast Train. DESCRIPTION:LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is a sustainability scorecard for green buildings. Undergraduate and graduate students have the option to become LEED Green Associates and demonstrate their certified knowledge in the field of green buildings.\n<span lang='en-US'>To date\, this course and its materials have proven to be instrumental in helping over 9000 students pass their exam at a 99% pass rate. This course is offered at a quarter of the price and time as the competition\, is instructed by a USGBC faculty member\, and allows students to graduate with letters after their name!
