SUMMARY:Bats & Creatures of the Night Hike: Science on Satrudays
DESCRIPTION:The KPNC welcomes bat expert Vicky Beckham Smith for an incredible up-close look at bats and their fascinating lives in the dark!  You’ll get to see live native and exotic bats\, as well as learn about the number of bats\, their different sizes\, and why bats are so important.  Then\, we’ll venture out into the woods for a night hike and try to detect some bats ourselves.  We may even spot some bats swooping down for water at the KPNC Turtle Pond. \nThis is a one-hour\, lecture-style program\, followed by a 1-hour night hike\, that will provide exciting and interactive nature education.  Admission is $5 ($4 for members); children 3 and under are free.  Cancelled in the event of rain.  Bring good walking shoes and flashlights.
