SUMMARY:Voting Registration Deadline for City of Auburn 2026 Municipal Election
DESCRIPTION:AUBURN\, Ala.- The 2026 Municipal Election will take place on Aug. 25\, giving voters the opportunity to elect Auburn’s mayor and one councilperson for each of the City’s eight wards. \nVoters must be registered by Aug. 10.\nAll registered voters who have lived within Auburn City limits for at least 30 days before the election may vote in the 2026 Municipal Election. The last day to register to vote in the Aug. 25 election is Aug. 10. \nVoters may register with the Lee County Board of Registrars at the Lee County Courthouse (215 S. 9th St. in Opelika) or at alabamavotes.gov. Voters may also print a registration form available at alabamavotes.gov\, fill it out and mail it to the Lee County Board of Registrars at PO Box 1530\, Opelika\, AL\, 36803. \nYour voting location may have changed.\nSome voting locations have changed since the last municipal election in 2022. All Auburn residents are encouraged to confirm their current ward and voting location. Find your current ward and voting location by entering your address in the footer at auburnal.gov. \nThe polls will be open at these locations from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. on Aug. 25: \n\nWard 1: Boykin Community Center (400 Boykin St.)\nWard 2: Frank Brown Recreation Center (235 Opelika Road)\nWard 3: Embrace Church (2142 North College Street)\nWard 4: Church of the Highlands (2001 East Samford Avenue)\nWard 5: Dean Road Recreation Center (307 S. Dean Road)\nWard 6: Parkway Baptist Church (766 East University Drive)\nWard 7: Lake Wilmore Park Recreation Center (2000 Grove Hill Road)\nWard 8: Wire Road Soccer Complex (2340 Wire Road)\n\nAbsentee ballot applications are due Aug. 18 (mail-in) or Aug. 20 (in-person)\, and absentee ballots are due Aug. 24 (in-person) or Aug. 25 at Noon (mail-in). Absentee ballot applications will be available starting on June 16 at City Hall and may be returned by mail or in-person. Mail-in applications must be received at City Hall by Aug. 18\, and in-person applications must be received by Aug. 20. Business emergency or medical emergency applications may be made after the absentee deadline but no later than 5 p.m. on the day before the election\, Aug. 24. \nAbsentee ballots will be available at City Hall by July 28 and must be received by mail no later than Aug. 25 at Noon or delivered in-person by Aug. 24. \nVoters who apply for an absentee ballot before ballots are available will be mailed a ballot once they are available. This beginner-friendly workshop will teach homeowners and concerned neighbors how small-scale streambank erosion happens and what practical\, nature-based repair approaches you can use to help protect your land and support cleaner water. Whether you’re seeing early signs of erosion or planning improvements\, this workshop is your starting point for making informed\, responsible choices. This workshop is held for participants across Alabama\, with examples and discussion tailored to local conditions.
