SUMMARY:Drive Electric Alabama
DESCRIPTION:Drive Electric Earth Day is a national campaign to share information about electric vehicles during April\, which was postponed due to severe weather. In addition to being better for the environment\, electric vehicles are more fun to drive\, more convenient to fuel\, and less expensive to operate than gasoline vehicles. Attend the in-person EVent to kick the tires and ask owners of actual EVs why they chose electric! \nOver 20 electric vehicles and their owners will be on hand to answer your questions as to why they chose electric! Thinking about an EV? This is a great time to hear the real story. They look forward to seeing you!

SUMMARY:Bike to Work Day
DESCRIPTION:May 17-21 is National Bike to Work Week\, part of Bike Month sponsored by the League of American Bicyclists. The Auburn Bicycle Committee and the Auburn University Offices of Transportation Services and Sustainability would like to honor your personal commitment to eco-friendly transportation on National Bike to Work Day\, Friday 21 May. Representatives from AU Transportation Services will be at both locations to provide an update on their E-Bike AU Initiative\, an electric bike-share program that will be starting up this coming fall. \nBring along a mug for your coffee and a mask to protect your fellow cyclists. We look forward to seeing you!

SUMMARY:Crank Down at Tigertown
DESCRIPTION:Crank Down in Tigertown will take place in the Chewacla State Park on April 17-18\, 2021. \nThe course at this park will use a combination of tight and twisty single track and wide dirt roads to test the racer’s fitness and bike handling skills.  The seemingly flat course is deceiving as the constant up/down results in 381 feet of elevation gain per HS lap. \nSpectators bring your noisemakers because as the trail meanders through the woods\, there are several opportunities to see the race unfolding from your seats in the infield area. Don’t let the lap distances fool you\, lap times on this course will be on par with other\, longer courses this season.

SUMMARY:Getting Started // In The Garden With Cyndi
DESCRIPTION:It’s spring – time of renewal – and time to get the garden packed out and ready for the year. Learn how to choose the right space and the right plants that make you happy! And take home a packet of seeds to get started. \nThe gardening workshop\, “In The Garden With Cyndi” taught by Cyndi Czerkawski\, is for adults and meets each month on a Sunday afternoon. The first class focuses on getting a garden prepped and ready for the spring growing season; the class includes seeds for attendees to take home. The cost is $20 per person per class or $150 for a 2021 annual pass to attend all the workshops for this year. \n“I believe gardening should be about the enjoyment of your gardens\,” Czerkawski said. “You’ll get interesting lessons with tons of tips and tricks that make gardening fun and easy. Gardening is a passion for me\, and my goal is for you to love gardening just as much.”
