The walk will start in front of the School of Kinesiology building\\, just behind the Campus Recreation Building. Doctoral student Kameron Suire will lead the group on a short walk around campus for 15-20 minutes.\nThe American College of Sports Medicine started ‘Exercise is Medicine on Campus’ month and calls upon universities and colleges to promote physical activity as a vital sign of health. It encourages faculty\\, staff and students to work together toward improving the health and well-being of the campus community by making movement a part of the daily campus culture. \nFederal physical activity guidelines recommend adults do at least 150 minutes (2 hours and 30 minutes) of moderate aerobic activity\\, or 75 minutes (1 hour and 15 minutes) of vigorous aerobic activity exercise each week\\, which can be walking or jogging\\, in addition to strength training activities at least twice a week. That’s 15-30 minutes per day\\, minimum.
