The event will feature Danielle Fixico\, instructor and artist at the College of the Muscogee Nation in Okmulgee\, Oklahoma. Fixico’s work has been featured in the Tribal College Journal and publications from the National Indigenous Women’s Resource Center and is used for the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women. DESCRIPTION:The College of Sciences and Mathematics is pleased to announce that the STEM Outreach Center will be hosting GUTS (Getting Under The Surface) geared for children in grades 3 – 5 and an accompanying parent.  This hands-on science program will feature the science of sailing\, exploring how sailboats travel\, and participants will then build and test their own! \nThe cost for attendance is $15 for one child and one parent/guardian or $25 for two children and one parent/guardian. The program will include an individually packaged snack followed by a 60–minute science activity. \nParticipants should pre-register on the COSAM website.
