DESCRIPTION:Discover the breadth of sustainability at Auburn while you enjoy free local vegetarian food samples\, fun\, door prizes\, and music at this zero-waste event! Connect with student groups\, programs\, and opportunities that make a difference.   \nThe Sustainability Picnic will be held Wednesday\, August 28th from 4:30 – 6:30 PM at the south end of the Donald E. Davis Arboretum near the Old Rotation. The weather date is September 4th at the same time and place. \nIf you would like to volunteer to help at this event\, please register via GivePulse! Registrations will open May 1! \nIf you are interested in your organization or group tabling at the picnic\, please email sustain@auburn.edu to share your information and learn more!  \nThe Sustainability Picnic is co-sponsored by the Office of Sustainability\, Tiger Dining\, the Arboretum\, the Waste Reduction and Recycling Department\, Academic Sustainability Programs\, the College of Forestry\, Wildlife and Environment\, and the Master of Community Planning.

SUMMARY:GUTS: The Science of Sailing
DESCRIPTION:The College of Sciences and Mathematics is pleased to announce that the STEM Outreach Center will be hosting GUTS (Getting Under The Surface) geared for children in grades 3 – 5 and an accompanying parent.  This hands-on science program will feature the science of sailing\, exploring how sailboats travel\, and participants will then build and test their own! \nThe cost for attendance is $15 for one child and one parent/guardian or $25 for two children and one parent/guardian. The program will include an individually packaged snack followed by a 60–minute science activity. \nParticipants should pre-register on the COSAM website.
