Short documentary films created as part of the 2025 Southern Exposure Film Fellowship will be shown. These films were created over the Alabama Rivers Alliance’s 6-week summer program and present vibrant\, inspiring stories of how Alabama citizens have worked to preserve their state’s rich biodiversity.\n\nA social hour with local and visiting organizations will be held at 5:30PM\, with the films following at 6:30PM. SUMMARY:February Outdoor Film Series: Kiss the Ground
DESCRIPTION:Bring your Cup and Chairs because Office of Sustainability is hosting an Outdoor Films Series in February. The first film\, hosted in collaboration with the Crop\, Soil\, & Environmental Sciences Graduate Student Association\, is Kiss the Ground. This documentary features farmers and communities cultivating healthy soils full of microbes and roots that draw down carbon from the atmosphere and store it in the ground. Step into the inspiring world of regenerative agriculture and see how healthy soils contribute to building resilience\, reversing climate change\, restoring water cycles\, and supporting food security and farmers.\n\n\n\n\nThe free screening will be held February 12 from 6:15–8 p.m. in the Langdon Courtyard. Complimentary popcorn\, hot chocolate\, and tea are provided. Bring your own mug\, chair\, and blanket. In the case of inclement weather\, the screening will be moved indoors into Langdon Hall. Parking without a permit is allowed on campus after 5:30 p.m.

He is the author of two novels\, The Entire Sky and Fall Back Down When I Die\, both of which have garnered wide critical acclaim. Wilkins is also the author of a memoir\, The Mountain and the Fathers\, winner of a GLCA New Writers Award\, and five collections of poetry\, including Pastoral\, 1994 and When We Were Birds\, winner of the Oregon Book Award. DESCRIPTION:Auburn’s chapter of the American Institute of Architecture Students invites all students\, faculty and community members for a day of frightful fun. \nStarting at 9 a.m.\, attendees can carve pumpkins\, bid on faculty-drawn napkin sketches\, enter raffles for goodies provided by local businesses and buy spooky t-shirts and stickers. Refreshments will be available with snacks and treats at various booths. By the glow of 200 pumpkins\, judges will announce the winners of the pumpkin carving contest\, as well as the napkin sketch bids and raffle baskets. The night will end at 8 p.m. with the auction of spook-tacularly carved pumpkins. \n  \nPumpkin Carve will take place in the Dudley Courtyard
