DESCRIPTION:May 17-21 is National Bike to Work Week\, part of Bike Month sponsored by the League of American Bicyclists. The Auburn Bicycle Committee and the Auburn University Offices of Transportation Services and Sustainability would like to honor your personal commitment to eco-friendly transportation on National Bike to Work Day\, Friday 21 May. There will be two Energizer Stations on the AU campus where you can stop by\, chat with like-minded bike commuters\, and enjoy fresh coffee and donuts. You’re out there fighting in the streets for a better planet\, reward yourself with a little treat and the camaraderie of your fellow cycle commuters! \nThe stations will be located on Ross Square near Samford Hall\, and on South Donahue along the multi-use trail between Woodfield Drive and Lem Morrison Drive. Representatives from AU Transportation Services will be at both locations to provide an update on their E-Bike AU Initiative\, an electric bike-share program that will be starting up this coming fall. \nBring along a mug for your coffee and a mask to protect your fellow cyclists. We look forward to seeing you!

DESCRIPTION:City Market is back for the summer season. Auburn Parks and Recreation invites the community\, growers and consumers alike\, to join them Saturdays from May to August. \nThe market will host local farmers\, growers\, and artists to sell their produce and products. Farmers\, growers\, and artists who are interested in participating in the City Market must complete an\napplication and submit their Grower’s Permit to the Market Coordinator. Materials may be submitted in person at the Harris Center (425 Perry Street) or via email to the Market Coordinator. \n*COVID 19 note: All market visitors must maintain a minimum of 6 feet between one another. All vendors will follow the state sanitation guidelines regarding farmers markets:\n• Food samples will not be served\, and cooking demonstrations will not be allowed.\n• Vendors will maintain a 10-foot distance from one another.\n• All vendors will wear food safe serving gloves and will designate one worker to handle payment.\n• Face mask are required.
