DESCRIPTION:Registration on RWC Connect: August 18 – September 13 \nCost: FREE \nIt’s time to redefine the group ride. Join Auburn Outdoors for a bike ride through the beautiful town\nof Waverly\, AL.\nWe’ll ride 20 miles on some of the Southeast’s best gravel roads before visiting Wild Flour\, Waverly’s local coffee shop and bakery. Transportation and bike rental are included at no\ncost. Participants will pay for their own coffee and treats while on the trip.

SUMMARY:Rain Barrel Workshops
DESCRIPTION:Community members are invited to attend one of three upcoming rain barrel workshops\, promoting sustainable water use and stormwater management. \nAttendees will receive a free rain barrel to collect and reuse rainwater at home along with tips on how to install\, maintain and troubleshoot potential issues with their new reservoir. They will also learn about the benefits of rainwater harvesting\, including: Conserving water and reducing reliance on City water sources. Reducing stormwater runoff\, which can prevent soil erosion and limit the amount of pollutants that reach our local waterways. \nThose interesting in participating must register ahead of time online. Each workshop will be limited to 15 people. Complementary breakfast and coffee will be provided. For more information\, contact Marla Smith at msmith@auburnal.gov or Matt Wisenden at matt.wisenden@auburn.edu. \nThe event will be at the Nunn-Winston House at Kiesel Park. \nThis event is hosted by the City of Auburn and Auburn University Stormwater and is funded through a grant from the Alabama Department of Environmental Management.
