Are you interested in gardening? In growing your own food or flowers? In getting some exercise in a natural setting and communing with fellow gardeners? Then come join us at the AU Community Garden. The garden is located on Samford Avenue just past Wire Road across from the Facilities Complex, only a short walk or bike ride from central campus. Individual plots are available for rental to AU faculty, staff, students, and members of the surrounding community. Each plot rents for a nominal annual fee for the 2016 gardening season, which begins soon. The garden is managed by university employees who can advise you about gardening methods, and features a tool shed with communal tools, irrigation water source, and a new composting program. For more information and to peruse the 2016 Garden Contract, visit the AU Community Garden website.
