The Science Pub will feature guest scientist David Maurer\, Associate Professor of Physics. Maurer will give a talk that is appropriate for all ages titled\, \'Some Like it Hot: Fusion\, the Energy of the Future\,\' where he will discuss the physics of the sun\, challenges presented with channeling the sun\'s energy\, and the plasma state of matter.
The family friendly event is free and open to the public. No science background is required\, and no question is too silly to ask.
<p class=\'au_today_p\'>There is no cost to attend the Science Pub\, but proceeds from the purchase of each Drymarchon Berliner Weisse\, a drink featured at Red Clay\, will benefit the Alabama Natural Heritage Program at Auburn University and their efforts to conserve rare species in Alabama\, such as the Indigo snake.</p>
<p class=\'au_today_p\'>Sodas and pizza will also be available for purchase at the Science Pub.</p>
