Science Pub

November 30, 2017 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Riddle me this: I can fit in your backpack but hold a laboratory. You could carry me in your arms\, but I can go and see what you can not—to the heavens and beyond. What am I? Join the November Science Pub to learn about a new breed of celestial explorer and a collaboration between Auburn University\, UAH\, and the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. Enter a new space satellite—the CubeSat!
This month\'s Science Pub will feature guest scientist Dr. Michael Fogle from Auburn\'s Physics Department giving a talk that is appropriate for all ages titled\, \'Enter the CubeSat: Space’s Tiniest Little Explorer.\'

The family-friendly event is free and open to the public. No science background is required\, and no question is too silly to ask.
<p class=\'au_today_p\'>There is no cost to attend the Science Pub\, but proceeds from drink sales will benefit the Alabama Natural Heritage Program at Auburn University and their efforts to conserve rare species in Alabama\, such as the Indigo snake.</p>
<p class=\'au_today_p\'>Sodas and food will also be available for purchase at the Science Pub.</p>
