At the June Science Pub\\, guests will be tackling augmented reality (AR) through the lens of Geoscience— What is it? And how can it be used both in research and education? There will be Geoscience’s new AR sandboxes to make it even more special. And don’t worry\\, both kids and adults will have the opportunity to dig into the fun!\nThis month\'s Science Pub will be presented by guest scientist Dr. Karen McNeal from the Department of Geosciences \nThe family-friendly event is free and open to the public. No science background is required\\, and no question is too silly to ask.\n
There is no cost to attend the Science Pub\\, but proceeds from drink sales will benefit the Alabama Natural Heritage Program at Auburn University and their efforts to conserve rare species in Alabama\\, such as the Indigo snake.
\nSodas and food will also be available for purchase at the Science Pub.
