Led by ornithologist\, Dr. Geoffrey Hill\, this citizen scientist survey invites volunteers to spend the day tallying birds they find in order to get a more accurate count of our winter bird population.  Hill reports that\, \'The count is from midnight to midnight on Dec 15.  Counters keep track of how long they watch birds and how far the counters move during the count (ex: one mile).\'  For more information on this event\, contact us at <a href=\'mailto:preserve@auburn.edu\'>preserve@auburn.edu</a>.  To submit a bird count\, email Dr. Hill at <a href=\'mailto:hillgee@auburn.edu\'>hillgee@auburn.edu</a>.  Named as a part of the Piedmont Birding Trail\, the Kreher Preserve provides a wonderful habitat and background for your bird counts.
