Conversations Prompted by Art

July 13, 2017 @ 4:30 pm

Join JCSM and RBD Library for a series of timely conversations about diversity and greater understanding prompted by objects from JCSM’s permanent collection. Each conversation will begin with an introduction by an art historian and a member of the Auburn University community. The intention is to let the art prompt discussions that allow for an understanding of differences and recognition of the value of a diverse community.
The first conversation in the series will be based on Francisco Zuniga\'s \'Impressions of Egypt\' with Scott Bishop\, curator of adult education at the Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art and Nighet Ahmed with the International Women for Peace and Understanding providing opening remarks.

Future talks at the library are planned for July 20\, July 27\, Aug. 20 and Aug. 24.
