Alabama Rural Ministry (ARM) is hosting a “Box City” as part of their 10th Annual Sweet Homes for Alabama fundraising campaign to eliminate substandard housing in rural Alabama. This experience aims to raise funds for the cause\, but also educate others about poverty and the Alabama housing crisis at the same time. They invite everyone to join them and spend a night sleeping in a box or in their cars to raise awareness. Even if you can’t stay all night\, you\'re welcome to participate. There will be a movie and offer s’mores\, so bring a blanket or chair to spread out on the lawn. Executive director of ARM\, Lisa Pierce\, will speak at 10PM. Coffee and breakfast will also be provided the following morning. Arrive at the Auburn Wesley Foundation/AUMC parking lot anytime between 7:30-9:30PM to set up and bring $5 to contribute to the cause.
